Good Morning Delmarva speaks with Small Moments Foundation founder and author of “I’d Still Choose You”
WMDT – Rebecca DiTore, the founder of the non-profit Small Moments Foundation and the author of “I’d Still Choose You”, began her foundation in 2023 after her husband passed away from brain cancer at only the age of 30.
However, both her foundation and her book are meant to support families on their healing journey after the loss of a loved one.
DiTore tells us her foundation which just launched less than a year ago creates small moments of joy for children who have lost a parent or sibling to cancer.
And it’s all because others were kind enough to do that for her and her family
Ditore says if you are going through the thick of it — it does get more manageable!
She tells us throughout her time as a caregiver to her husband she began blogging to help others who have dealt with traumatic situations.
She says it was the connections she made with others struggling that inspired her to write her book.
DiTore says her husband was encouraging even in the midst of his battle with cancer and wanted her to write this book.
She wants to get the word out about the things they are doing for other families.
