DSP searching for witnesses in late-night Dover shooting that left one injured

DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help in a late-night shooting investigation.

At around 11:20 p.m. Sunday, troopers were called to a reported shooting on Palmer Road in Dover, arriving at the scene to find a 36-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the thigh.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim was walking on Palmer Road when an unknown suspect reportedly shot him from an unknown location.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or who may have relevant information to contact Detective M. Keane at 302-698-8442.
