Millsboro man arrested for murdering stepfather
MILLSBORO, Del. – A Millsboro man is behind bars for murdering his stepfather over the weekend.
Just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday, troopers were called to the 25000 block of Redwing Lane in Rehoboth Shores for a reported stabbing. On arrival, troopers reportedly found 61-year-old Dennis Harmon suffering from stab wounds in a front yard. Lifesaving efforts were attempted, however, Harmon was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed that during a fight, 25-year-old Christopher Moran stabbed Harmon multiple times and fled the scene.
Moran was found walking in the neighborhood a short time later and was taken into custody. He has been charged with first degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and was held at SCI on a $1.18 million cash bond.
