The Salisbury School kindergarten teacher honored for May Teacher Who Makes a Difference

SALISBURY, Md. – Congratulations are in order for our May Teacher Who Makes A Difference.

Mrs. Jane Klein is a kindergarten teacher from the Salisbury school who has been teaching for over 20 years.

Nominators say Mrs. Klein exudes patience and kindness through her teachings. Working with the curious minds of kindergarteners, we’re told she runs a well-oiled classroom that caters to a productive learning environment that allows them to grow every day.

Klein says it was a humbling experience to be recognized for something she’s been doing for years, and this being her last year teaching, she hopes all her interactions with her students leave a lasting impression, the way they’ve all left a lasting impression for her.

“I absolutely love kindergarten year because of the sense of wonder and the learning that goes, it’s probably the biggest growth you’ll see from the beginning to the end of the year,” says Klein. She adds, “I love these kids to death and it’s going to be hard to leave but I really have enjoyed every moment with them and I just want to keep telling them yes you can no matter what.”

Klein is retiring and says it’s bittersweet to say a final goodbye to her students.

The ‘Teacher Who Makes A Difference’ award is brought to you in part by Pam Price and Associates. We surprised the teacher with goodies, flowers, and a certificate.
