Ocean City named one of the best beaches in the U.S.

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City was named one of the best beaches in the USA, by Travel and Leisure magazine. It was described as having a groomed shoreline and lively boardwalk.

Kentucky native, Michael Bennett and his family, are on their second trip to the resort town and said it’s the charm that keeps them coming back.

“I would’ve never come here, but once you come here, you’ll love it,” Bennett said. “There’s so many older style shops, you’ve got dollys, you’ve got things that are so vintage, and like I said, that whole American feel will just bring you back,” Bennett said.

Planning a trip for a family of five, Bennett said safety was at the top of his mind, which is why they opted for Ocean City.

“We go to a lot of the beaches in Pnama and there’s not a lot of lifeguards, so whatever Ocean City does to keep their lifeguards, we appreciate that, because I have smaller children and that’s important to me, safety,” Bennett said.
