Man arrested in Dover murder case

DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department has made an arrest in the case of a murder that occurred Saturday afternoon.

Police arrested 59-year-old William Mills for the murder of 29-year-old Jonair Pollard, who was killed in a shooting Saturday.

Mills was identified by detectives as the primary suspect in the shooting. Dover PD’s Special Operations Response Team executed a search warrant at 400 East Wind Drive, where Mills was taken into custody without incident.

Mills was sent to Sussex Correctional Institution on $250,000 cash bail.

He is charged with First Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited.
