Salisbury baseball season ends in super regionals

SALISBURY, Md.– Salve Regina defeated Salisbury University in a final score of 14-12 in game 2 of the super regionals on Saturday morning.

Salve Regina jumped out to an early lead by plating 5 runs in the 1st inning. Regina would score 12 runs in the first 4 innings. The Seagulls would not be scoreless in those innings, SU would plate runs of their own but it would only be 4 runs.

Salisbury would explode in the bottom of the 5th for 8 runs to come back and tie it up. Dom Frigiola, Tim Petrucell, and Zach Geesaman would hit back to back to back home runs to bring the Seagulls back in it.

The game would remain scoreless until the top of the 9th, Salve Regina would score 2 runs to take a 14-12 lead. Salisbury would not be able to make a comeback in the 9th. The Seagulls finish the season with an overall record of 32-12.
