Locals celebrate Holi at annual Colors of Holi Festival

SALISBURY, Md. – Community members got their color on at the annual Colors of Holi Festival.

People from all different backgrounds came together at Winter Place Park in Salisbury to dance, eat delicious foods and cover each other in vibrant colors.

Event Goer, Meet Patel, attended his first Holi festival, Saturday, and he said the event gave him the opportunity to learn more about his culture and share it with others.

“It feels great having other people learn about our culture and having all these stands around us,” Patel said. “The color, for me, represents pride and freedom, as you can throw it, and freedom can go anywhere it wants.”
