Local nurse gives tips on honoring nurses during appreciation week

DELMARVA. – It’s national nurse appreciation week and a local nurse is encouraging you to show some appreciation to a special nurse in your life.

Director of nursing for the Wicomico County Health Department, Olivia Butler, said showing a nurse that you care about them, and appreciate all the work they do, can make a world of a difference.

“For those that really don’t get that recognition, it is just important to say, ‘Hey, thank you for what you do. Thank you for your work. You’re making a difference,” Butler said.

Butler added this weekend may be a little extra special for the nurses who are also mothers.
