Shots fired investigation leads to multiple charges for Dover man

DOVER, Del. – A Dover man has been arrested following a shooting Monday morning.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Harmony Lane at around 10:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired. It was determined through the subsequent investigation that 19-year-old Javon Johnson was responsible for the shooting, and a vehicle occupied by a 20-year-old Smyrna was damaged by gunfire. The woman was not injured.

Johnson was arrested inside an apartment in the area, and a search of the apartment led to the recovery of a loaded Glock 9mm handgun.

Johnson was charged with first degree reckless endangering, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
