Experts give safety tips ahead of hurricane season

DELMARVA. – Hurricane season starts in less than a month.

The Wicomico County Health Department wants you to be prepared and informed, as hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th.

Public Health Emergency Planner, Jack Orris, has a few tips to ensure you and your family are prepared, if a hurricane does hit Delmarva.

“Have a kit, stay informed,” Orris said. “You want to make sure that you’re keeping an eye on reliable resources, like the local news media. Social media is helpful, as long as whatever is being shared is a reliable resource.”
