Comptroller Brooke Lierman visits Eastern Shore

SALISBURY, Md – Friday, Comptroller of Maryland Brooke Lierman joined the Wicomico County Council during a special legislative session.

Lierman’s visit to the Eastern Shore was a continuation of her ‘Take a Look with Brooke’ tour throughout the state. She briefed council members and the public on her role as Comptroller, functioning as the state of Maryland’s Chief Fiscal Officer. Lierman also discussed the importance of collaboration between the office of the comptroller and local government: “In the Office of the Comptroller, I’m dedicated to making sure that we’re working with our local governments to help them understand some of the challenges, to listen to them and hear what some of their opportunities are, and then working together to really meet the moment so that we can seize opportunities in front of us and build a stronger Maryland down the road.”

Comptroller Lierman also visited with the Talbot County Council later in the day.
