Indian River School District announces change to school calendar

SELBYVILLE, Del. – The Indian River School District has announced a change to its last day of school for the 2023-2024 school year.

The last day of school for students in grades pre-k through 11th will now be Wednesday, June 5th. The last day for teachers will be Friday, June 7th, and the last day for paraprofessionals will be Wednesday, June 5th.

Thursday, June 6th will be a remote half grades, half teacher work day for teachers.

We’re told these changes are a result of unused days built into the calendar for weather-related school cancellations.
