Police: Shooting at Parkwood Apt. hospitalizes one

A shooting near a Salisbury apartment complex has hospitalized one person, authorities confirm.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot off of the 1000-Block of Beaglin Park Drive near the Parkwood Apartments complex.

Authorities say one unidentified male victim was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

In a press release sent early Monday morning, Sergeant Kelly Matthews of the Criminal Investigation Division at the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, stated the victim was treated at PRMC for non life-threatening injuries.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office describes the suspect as a "dark skin, African-American male, tall, with a slim build." 

We are told the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation.
