City of Salisbury continuing to provide updates on automated parking system in downtown garage
SALISBURY, Md. – The City of Salisbury says there have been significant hardware and software challenges regarding the new automated parking system in the downtown parking garage.
We’re told the vendor found another software glitch earlier this week, which caused the most recent malfunction. The company was working to find a solution on Thursday and is scheduled to retest the system afterward.
“The Mayor’s office appreciates the patience of our permit holders regarding the parking garage and the implementation of the automated parking system. As everyone can see, we have had a meaningful problem with our vendor and have had multiple false starts with a difficult flow of reliable information. This transition has been a real challenge and the City is poised to correct any future issues as they present. Again, thank you for your patience as this has been a difficult process to work through for all involved and affected,” said Mayor Randy Taylor.
