Worcester Co. Democrats to commemorate 2024 community changemaker

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – Worcester County Democrats are hosting their 2024 Kennedy King Dinner, Thursday evening.

The annual event honors a person who has helped enhance the community.

This year’s honoree is Jim Mathias, a former state senator and current director of government relations at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Mathias said he hopes that he made his mark on at least one individual, to follow in his public service footsteps.

“I just hope along the way, I inspired at least one person to public service. One person that said, ‘Hey, I’d like to do that.,” Mathias said.

The event is $100 per ticket, and it will take place at Worcester Technical High school, at 6:30PM.
