Fenix Youth Project announces partnership with the Wellness Center of Maryland

SALISBURY, Md.- Fenix Youth project has announced a new partnership with the Wellness Center of Maryland.

The partnership will provide free one-on-one counseling sessions at the Fenix Youth Project’s drop-in center.

Counseling services will be offered to any young person between the ages of 12 and 24.

We spoke with Fenix’s Youth Project’s executive director Amber Green who says it’s important to recognize the critical need for mental health support, especially among those experiencing homelessness.

Amber said “We’re hoping that when we connect them to housing resources we’re also going to help them with mental health and wellness because it’s not just about putting you in a home. We have to make sure that you are sound in your mind as well as in your heart.”
