Salisbury University hosts Spring Arts Festival
SALISBURY, Md – Friday, Salisbury students, faculty, and residents gathered to celebrate the Fulton Spring Arts Festival.
The festival was an opportunity for students to showcase their creative works in a public setting, featuring everything from visual arts to live music and poetry readings. Dean of the Fulton School of Liberal Arts, Maarten Pereboom, said events like these are crucial for the on-campus community: “I think a lot of people are spending a lot of time on screens and on phones, and a lot of the choices they make are kind of being driven by algorithms. It’s really nice to just bust out of that and just be together, physically in a space where people are doing cool things and we’re enjoying one another’s company out there in the real world.” The event even featured a kiln for glass-blowing demonstrations, one of Fulton’s signature programs.
