Emerging Leaders: Tom Murray

47ABC – It is Monday and that means it is time to introduce you to a new emerging leader!

Tom Murray is an environmentalist turned recent author.

His first book was called Operation Quicksilver, but today he stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to discuss his latest book Vulcan!

Murray tells us he worked with the EPA for over 45 years, but the urge to write came to him when he finally retired.

He decided his books would be focused on environmental issues such as forever chemicals and mercury.

Tom says that he really enjoys getting to write about his experiences with a creative twist.

He says he’s not only writing to explore his passion, but because he wants to educate others on the importance of environmental health.
