SOMERSET COUNTY, Md. – The search for Somerset County Public Schools’ next superintendent is now underway. A new survey is now seeking public input for that process.

Somerset Board of Education recently launched the survey. Questions range from residents’ opinion on the strengths and challenges of the district and plans they want to see in the future.

Somerset BOE said that data will play a crucial role in helping them fill that position. “Every person in the public that we can get to participate and give us their views will be very important. We want to get as much input as we can get,” Board chair Bill McInturff said.

McInturff told 47ABC their consultants will develop a profile based on the data gathered from the focus groups and the survey. A summary of those results will be posted on the districts website on April 1st.

Survey responses are being accepted until this Friday, March 31st. The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Arabic.
