Local Masjid to host interfaith event

SALISBURY, Md. – Ramadan is halfway through and a local Mosque is looking to bring the community together for a fun and educational event.

The Delmarva Muslim Community will host an interfaith event This coming Sunday. The event will feature a Masjid tour, an ask an Imam Q&A and an iftar dinner at sundown.

Event organizer, Brigitte Malik, said while the event is meant to bring the community together, it also helps educate the public on the ins and outs of Islam, and the holy month of Ramadan.

“We have a beautiful community over here on Delmarva and we would love to share it with you,” Malik said. “We want to crush stereotypes about Islam, we want to show the true Islam and show people how beautiful our religion is.”
