Dover punches ticket to the state championship game
NEWARK, Del.– Dover defeated Middletown in a final score of 59-53 on Thursday night to advance to the state championship game.
The game was tightly matched from the opening tip-off. Dover only held a 27-26 lead at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. The Cavaliers would take the lead in the 3rd and would start to take control but then would then lose it after receiving a technical foul.
Dover would take control and all the momentum after the technical to put the game out of reach for Middletown. Clutch buckets from Chase Little, Denim Perkins, Dorrell Little would ice the game and secure the Senators spot in the state championship.
