Del. man facing pair of charges including strangulation

HARRINGTON, Del. – A Harrington man is now facing two charges following a domestic dispute that took place early Monday morning.

According to the report the Harrington Police Department responded to a home on Ronald Rich Boulevard at 3:30 A.M. after an adult female victim called to report an assault. During their investigation police discovered that the victim was arguing with 25-year-old Taquen G. Owens in an apartment at Diamond Court Apartments when Owens allegedly choked her and stole her cell phone before leaving the apartment. Owens was eventually found at the apartment complex and taken into custody by police a short time after.

The 25-year-old Harrington resident was processed at the Harrington Police Department and charged with strangulation and theft under $1,500 before being arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 7. Owens was released after posting $1,001 secured bond.
