Salisbury University to host final Black History Month event spotlighting Black education

SALISBURY, Md. – On the last day of Black History Month, Salisbury University will be cultivating conversations on keeping Black history alive.
Thursday, the University will host a ‘Celebrating and Saving Black History in Schools and Communities’, event.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear lectures on contemporary debates about Black history.
The goal is to shed a light on the importance of teaching Black history in schools, amid controversy surrounding critical race theory being taught in high schools across the country.
The event will kick off at 4PM in the Student Union Building.
