Philanthropist donates $50,000 to UMES students

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Philanthropist Audrey Shadd made a very generous donation of $50,000 to students pursuing healthcare related majors at UMES.

The scholarship was made by Shadd in memory of her aunt Carrie Holmes and fallen Hawk Leslie Johnson, class of 1972.
