Tractor trailers destroyed in Easton blaze, investigation underway

EASTON, Md. – Fire marshals are investigating after five tractor trailers were destroyed in a fire Friday afternoon.

Officials say the fire was reported just before 1:45 p.m. at 29088 Air Park Drive in Easton. A total of 75 firefighters battled the two-alarm blaze for nearly 90 minutes before bringing it under control.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the fire began inside of a tractor trailer, but the cause remains under investigation. Total damage has been estimated at $150,000.
