‘Preparedness Buddy’ to help Delawareans with emergencies

In Delaware, the Department of Public Health has launched a 'Preparedness Buddy' brochure for local Delawareans.
This brochure is to help remind locals that it's important to be safe and prepared for disasters before they happen.
The director for the Office of Preparedness for DPH, Timothy Cooper, tells 47 ABC it's imperative to have a 'buddy' who knows the important things in case of an emergency like medication dosage, allergies, and who to call in case an emergency does occur.
He says this brochure is to help remind people of that.
"The 'Preparedness Buddy' concept is that somebody else is your back up, somebody else is looking out for you. That's the person you can call if you need assistance and they keep a copy of your 'Prepardness Buddy' brochure," explains Cooper.
