CAMDEN, Del. – A 17-year-old Caesar Rodney High School student has been arrested after police say two knives were found in his backpack Tuesday morning.

At around 8:15 a.m. the School Resource Officer at the school was notified by staff that they found two kitchen knives during their search of the student’s backpack. The student was pulled out of the school and turned over to the custody of a parent.

Police say no threats were made and no students or staff were harmed.

The student later turned himself in to Delaware State Police, where he was charged with two counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon before being released to a parent.
