Jace Hudson exits 1st half with upper body injury

BERLIN, Md. — The Decatur Seahawks use a 12-2 run at the end of the fourth quarter to defeat the Bennett Clippers and end their eight-game winning streak. Bennett led for the first three quarters but could not withstand the Seahawks’ full-court pressure.

Midway through the second quarter, Bennett Star Guard Jace Hudson was injured on a layup attempt and would not return due to an upper-body injury. The Clippers were still able to hold to a one-point lead entering the fourth quarter. Bennett would go up by as much as 10 before Decatur flipped the game on its head. They forced multiple turnovers in the second half of the fourth quarter to help eliminate the deficit and retake the lead. Decatur moves to 14-1 on the season. Bennett falls to 11-4 on the year.
