A man has been arrested on Friday in Rehoboth Beach for armed robbery and felony assault after demanding money and repeatedly stabbing a victim in his car at a Wendy’s parking lot.

Delaware State Police say they arrested Kevin Clary after the girlfriend of the victim alerted a nearby trooper of the incident. This was after several claims of Clary making statements about killing the victim before he went outside.

The victim was taken to an area hospital by ambulance for his injury. Responding troopers located Clary near a wooded area on Coastal Highway and took him into custody without incident.

Clary was taken to Troop 7 where he was charged with Attempted Robbery, Assault First Degree and several other charges.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $64,300 cash bond.
