Snow Hill High School releases statement on brawl

Bennett Basketball Vs Crisfield

SNOW HILL, Md. – Snow Hill High School Principal Leland Green has released a statement on Thursday evening’s brawl following a basketball game at the school.

The statement reads as follows:

“We express deep concern regarding the events that unfolded last night following what was an outstanding game between two commendable teams. Regrettably, the evening concluded with a physical altercation unrelated to the athletic contest occurring among spectators, blocking the exit as most attendees were attempting to leave. We are grateful to our law enforcement partners who responded quickly and resolved the situation within minutes to ensure the safety of everyone in the area.

The safety of our fans and players is of utmost importance to us. We are actively collaborating with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office to identify all individuals involved and implement appropriate consequences. This is a crucial step to ensure the safety of everyone attending future events at Snow Hill.”

Green went on to say that the school remains committed to fostering a safer environment during athletic events.
