One dead following Friday night crash in Worcester County
BISHOPVILLE, Md. – One person is dead following a Friday evening crash in Bishopville. The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office says at approximately 10:35 PM, Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 13300 block of Selby Rd, Bishopville, Maryland for a single-vehicle collision.
The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit was assisted by the Ocean City Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit and the Worcester County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Police say early investigation of the crash show that a single vehicle left the roadway during inclement weather and collided with a tree. A passenger in the vehicle, Nicholas Charles Schewe, wasw pronounced dead on the scene. The driver was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
