Cambridge residents advised to stay home Tuesday night as high winds, heavy rain impact area

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – The City of Cambridge is asking residents to stay home tonight, January 9th, due to impending severe weather.

High tide between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. on January 10th, combined with heavy rain will contribute to the highest flooding risk during this timeframe. Gerry Boyle Park was closed at 3:30 p.m., and flooding is probable on Water Street, Hambrooks, Cedar Street, and other lower lying areas in Cambridge.

If necessary, an emergency shelter will be opened at Cambridge South Dorchester High School.
