DOVER, Del. – A Dover man has been charged in connection to a burglary investigation over the weekend.

Shortly before 2:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to They’re Action Figures for a late report of a burglary. Investigation revealed that at 11 a.m. Friday, the suspect entered the unlocked business, stole a set of keys that were on the sales counter, and left the store. Officers obtained a photo of the suspect in an attempt to identify him.

On Monday, officers on patrol observed a subject, identified as 62-year-old Kevin Johnson, in the 200 block of North DuPont Highway, and recognized him as the suspect in the burglary. Officers tried to take him into custody, but he reportedly resisted initially. He was eventually arrested and charged with third degree burglary, theft under $1500, and resisting arrest.

Johnson was later released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
