Governors Challenge Day 5 Recap

 

DECATUR 53, DOVER 52

Careen Bolden’s game-winning jumper handed Dover their first loss of the season. Dover dominated the first quarter by outscoring Decatur 18-8. The Seahawks flipped the narrative in the 2nd quarter by holding the Senators to just 4 points. It came down to the final seconds of the 4th quarter to decide the winner as Careen Bolden nailed a step-back mid-range jumper to seal the win for Decatur.

PARKSIDE 58, LAUREL 53

The start of this game was all Parkside, the Rams blitzed the Bulldogs 22-6 in the first quarter, Dustin Brown was carrying the load with the 11 first-half points he scored. But the Bulldogs bite back, winning the second quarter 21-8 and getting back into the game. But the Bulldogs couldn’t get within four points for the rest of the game.

SEAFORD 76, WIHI 51

Seaford dominated WiHi from the opening tip-off. The Blue Jays outscored the Tribe 22-8 in the first quarter. Kashmeir Wise was the top performer of the game, as he led the Jays in scoring with 28 points.

CAMBRIDGE SOUTH DORCHESTER 76, WOODBRIDGE BLUE RAIDERS 60

The start of this game was all Cambridge, the Vikings blitzed the Blue Raiders 27-7 in the first quarter. Koby Ennals led the Vikings with 22 points, 9 boards, and two three-point shots. Isaiah Giles led the Blue Raiders with 25 points and 9 rebounds.
