Governors Challenge Day 4 Recap

SALESIANUM 78, BENNETT 67

The Clippers stuck with the defending Delaware boys basketball state champions until the final quarter. Jace Hudson starred for Bennett with 29 points on 11-of-23 shooting. Zakai Smullen collected a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds to go along with 5 assists and 3 steals. Salesianum was efficient shooting from field, making 55-percent of their shots.

SNOW HILL 75, SUSSEX CENTRAL 61

Eagles senior guard Jayden Hudson scored his 1,000th point in the third quarter. Hudson ended the day with 14 points. Tyler Reddick led the way for Snow Hill with 22 points while shooting 14-of-15 from the free-throw line.

SALISBURY SCHOOL 79, HD WOODSON 45

Tyler Ball finished the game with a triple-double: 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 steals. Pierce Vasquez was equally as impressive, dropping 34 points with 16 rebounds to go along with 2 assists and 2 blocks.

POLYTECH 59, NORTH CAROLINE 42

Jalen Anderson collected a double-double in Polytech’s second game of the 2023 Governors Challenge. Anderson scored 16 points and reeled in 13 boards. Davian Stevenson scored 10 points while collecting 4 steals. Nasai Bell had 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead North Caroline. Polytech had their way in the paint, outscoring the Bulldogs, 38-24.
