DSP Aviation rescues elderly man, dog from woods at Cape Henlopen State Park

LEWES, Del. – Delaware State Police Aviation rescued an elderly man and his dog from the woods Thursday evening.

Officials say the pair had been lost in the woods of Cape Henlopen State Park for an hour and a half. Trooper 2 was able to locate the pair and guided responders on the ground into the thick woods to rescue them.

We’re told everyone is home safely.
