Sussex Tech dominates Tribe in Showcase matchup

SALISBURY, Md. – Sussex Tech continues to impress early in the 2023-24 season with a dominant win over WiHi, 68-40, Thursday night at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center.

The Ravens built a large lead, thanks to a 20-6 outburst in the second quarter.

Sussex Tech was led by Kyle Thompson’s 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Isaiah Ayers filled the stat sheet with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.

The Ravens took advantage of WiHi turnovers, forcing 27 in all.

The Tribe had no answer in the post as the Ravens outscored WiHi in the paint, 44-16. Sussex Tech also won the battle for second-chance points, 27-6.

Sussex Tech wins both Governors Challenge games, and are 5-2 on the season.
