Ellendale shooting injures one, police investigating

ELLENDALE, Del. – A Tuesday morning shooting is under investigation in Ellendale.

According to police, the incident happened just after 7 a.m. in the 18000 block of New Hope Road. Troopers arrived at the scene to learn that a 65-year-old man, a 34-year-old man, and a 34-year-old woman were sleeping in a car when an unknown suspect fired several rounds at the car, hitting the 65-year-old man once in the arm. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported. No suspect information is available at this time.
