Trash pickup temporarily staggered in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – Trash collection routes throughout the City of Salisbury will be temporarily staggered.

City officials say ongoing maintenance issues with the trucks has caused delays in trash collection. The department has purchased three new trucks since last year, but the arrival of the trucks has been delayed due to supply chain issues, resulting in a smaller fleet than usual.

Residents are asked to understand the following:

• If your trash is not collected at the usual date and time, please leave it out to be collected when possible
• Keep an eye on updates from the Department of Field Operations through their website and social media pages for the latest information on trash collection
• If your trash has not been collected in a timely manner, residents are encouraged to reach out to the City/Department of Field Operations at 410-548-3177
