Colonels pick up win in day 1 of Governors Challenge

SALISBURY, Md.– Colonel Richardson defeated Indian River in a final score of 69-48 on Tuesday afternoon in the Governors Challenge.

Two of Colonel’s best combined for 44 points in the win over IR. Dreden Lake and Ja’Zir Dickerson controlled the tempo from the opening tip.

Lake shot 9-25 from the field and finished with 24 total points. He went 4-5 from the free throw line and also had 11 rebounds.

Dickerson finished with 20 points while going perfect from the field with 9-9. He went perfect from the 3 point line and the free throw line.

The top scorer for IR was Tay’Von Rounds. He went 7-18 from the field and finished with 22 total points.
