Suspicious person investigation leads to arrest of wanted man in Laurel

LAUREL, Del. – Police arrested a wanted man while investigating a suspicious person complaint in Laurel Monday evening.

The investigation began at around 8:15 p.m., when an officer on patrol contacted a suspicious person in the Hollybrook Apartment complex. Police say the subject, identified as 35-year-old Bruce Beyer, was found to have an active warrant for violation of probation. While taking him into custody, officers found him to be in possession of heroin and drug related paraphernalia.

Beyer was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $3,500 unsecured bail.
