Queen Anne’s Co. Mountaire Farms building damaged in morning fire

WYE MILLS, Md. – One person was injured in a fire Monday morning at a Mountaire Farms facility in Queen Anne’s County.

The fire was reported at around 8:15 a.m. at 14209 Old Wye Mills Road. A total of 50 firefighters battled the blaze for an hour before bringing it under control.

One employee reportedly suffered burn injuries to the face and hands as a result of the fire. Total damage was estimated at $150,000.
