DSP investigates late night crash that left 3 people seriously injured
MILLSBORO, Del. — Delaware State Police are currently investigating a Tuesday night crash that left 3 people seriously injured in Millsboro.
Police say that just before 10 PM a car driven by a 21 year old Seaford man was speeding southbound on Mount Joy Road. The driver then, for unknown reasons, lost control of the car and collided with a utility pole which then split in half. The car then overturned before coming to a stop on the side of the road.
The driver and one passenger, a 22-year old woman were taken to Beebe Healthcare Hospital with serious injuries. A third passenger, a 27 year old man, was taken to Beebe Healthcare Hospital and later transferred to the Christiana Hospital in critical condition.
Mount Joy Road was closed for approximately 3 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.
The crash remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
