Trio arrested for armed robbery in Dover
DOVER, Del. – Three people are behind bars following an armed robbery that took place Wednesday evening in Dover.
Just after 7:30 p.m., officers were called to White Oak Condos for a reported robbery. Officers arrived at the scene and met with the victim, a 24-year-old Dover woman, who reported that she was walking to her building with her children when she was approached by four subjects. The subjects then reportedly assaulted the woman and stole her purse, which contained an unknown amount of money. The suspects then fled in separate vehicles. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Officers were able to obtain a description of the vehicles and located one of the suspects, identified as 25-year-old Abdul-Lateef Fadipe, at the Wawa on Forrest Avenue. He was taken into custody and charged with first degree robbery, second degree conspiracy, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and two counts of offensive touching. He was held at SCI on a $30,000 secured bail.
Two other suspects, identified as 21-year-old Jasona Haith and 28-year-old Joshua Harris, were not initially taken into custody. Warrants were obtained for both, and the pair were arrested the following day, each charged with first degree robbery, second degree conspiracy, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and two counts of offensive touching. Haith was held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $66,200 cash bail, while Harris was held at SCI on a $66,200 cash bail.
The fourth suspect remains unidentified.
