Brand new bookmobile for Wicomico County

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – The Wicomico County Library is proud to unveil their brand new bookmobile, a service the library has provided since the 1940’s.

Books provided include adult nonfiction and fiction, children’s books and board books for younger kids.

The new and improved book mobile was funded by federal, state and local government organizations, making sure everyone has access to library resources, including those who lack transportation.

Wicomico County Public Library Executive Director Seth Hershberger says “the library is not just a building in Downtown Salisbury, we are a resource for everybody across the entire county.”

“The resource belongs to everybody in Wicomico County, and this is part of our commitment to make sure we are serving everybody in the county, not just people who live near or in Salisbury.”

If a book is not offered that you are interested in, you can access the public library from the bookmobile and place holds on any book you may be interested in for a later date.
