New building for UMES School of Pharmacy coming this fall

New pharmacy building coming soon

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Officials from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore announced on Wednesday that construction on a new building for the School of Pharmacy is slated to begin this coming fall.

This new building is thanks to a $10 million allocation from the 2019 Maryland General Assembly. The three story building will be built on the east side of campus, across from the Engineering and Aviation Science Complex.

We’re told that pharmacy classes, laboratories, and faculty offices are currently spread across six buildings, however, the plan with this new building is to consolidate all of that into a single building.

UMES also says it is trying to reinstate their physician assistant graduate program in the fall of 2020, after the program lost its accreditation back in 2015.
