Junior Achievement in need of more volunteers ahead of first event
WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Junior Achievement will welcome students to its brand new facility in Salisbury, for the first time next week. Now, they’re looking for volunteers to help out with the full day event.
Students will get to take part in an immersive experience, learning real-world skills. Engagement coordinator, Shelby Lewis, said the volunteers will help facilitate the learning, and will be guides throughout each student’s journey as they learn necessary life skills.
“Those students can learn about career exploration– they get to be a nurse for the day, or get to change a tire, and really learn those soft skills that you need for today’s world,” Lewis said.
