Sussex Central beats St. Georges 14-7
GEORGETOWN, Del. — The Sussex Central Golden Knights take down St. Georges 14-7 to move to 5-2 on the season. This game was a defensive battle that was up for grabs until the Golden Knights took over late in the game.
Golden Knight Defensive Back William Harmon made what might have been the biggest play of the game when he picked off St. Georges Quarterback Timothy Whichard late in the 4th quarter and took it deep in Hawks territory.
Golden Knights Running Back Kevon Moore-Briddell doesn’t waste the opportunity his defense gave him. With five minutes left, Moore-Briddell scored a goalline touchdown to give Sussex Central a 14-7 lead. Sussex Central’s next game is against Dover on October 27th.
