Governor Carney statement on proper steps to go foward for Smyrna hostage situation

The Correctional Officers Association of Delaware's press conference February 3, 2017 called on changes to the correctional system, especially from the new administration.
The president of the association, Geoff Klopp, says the union has begun conversation with current Governor John Carney.
47 ABC reached out to Governor Carney's office to find out his plans in moving forward after the hostage situation in Smyrna.
The statement provided:
"There will be an investigation to determine what exactly happened inside James T. Vaughn Correctional Center and how this happened. We will not predetermine the outcome of that investigation. As I said on Thursday, we will leave no stone unturned. Anyone who is found to have been responsible will be held accountable for their actions. And we will take steps necessary to ensure that our correctional facilities are secure and that our employees are safe."
When 47 ABC asked for a statement from Governor Carney based on what the COAD said about adding responsibilty onto Markell's Administration, we were just told the only statement they will provide is the one they gave.
